5 stars is not enough for MJs Trim! They are outstanding! They were recommended to us by another contractor who told us "they do really good work" and that is the truth! They installed tongue and groove ceilings on our front and back patios and its looks fantastic. Their attention to detail is second to none. Mike is great! He is very nice and easy to talk with. He listens to what you want and then makes it a reality. Their work is excellent! I also cannot say enough about the entire crew. They were always on time, friendly and professional. All of them! They leave the jobsite as clean as they found it. They take great pride in their work and it really shows. They were a pleasure to deal with. We had great confidence from the moment they arrived because of how they go about their work. I cannot recomment MJs Trim highly enough. Great work done by kind and honest people. Mike is outstanding! We’ve had nothing but phenomenal experiences with him. He has built a double bookshelf with a fireplace and shiplap for us, installed laundry room cabinets, built a custom bench with butcher block tops, and even replaced all of our doors. We hired this carpenter for several custom projects in our newly built home, including a complex shiplap ceiling, shiplap accent walls, and a custom shelving unit above our desk. The craftsmanship and attention to detail were excellent. He and his assistant are extremely reliable — they show up when they say they will and work hard while on site. They are also very trustworthy. After working with them for a short time, we felt comfortable giving them access to our house when we weren’t there, which says a lot. What really stood out was their commitment to getting things perfect. Our ceiling design required careful planning and problem-solving to maintain a symmetrical pattern in a space that wasn’t perfectly rectangular. They thoughtfully worked through the angles and layout, recutting pieces several times until everything looked exactly right, without charging extra. He is not the cheapest carpenter, and he is upfront about that. But if you want high-quality carpentry from someone very reliable who takes real pride in their craftsmanship, he is absolutely worth every single cent. Highly recommend.
